August 12, 2004, Pebble Beach, CA The Monterey Celtic Arts Academy announced that it is launching the Monterey Bay School of Piping, which will be held next year at Stevenson School.

Michel d'Avenas, a 30-year bagpipe instructor and member of the Monterey Bay Pipe Band, coordinated the piping school with the Monterey Celtic Arts Academy's board of directors.

The school will feature internationally renowned piping instructors from around the world. It will be held June 12-17.

A limited number of scholarships will be available.
